Derived from Asso Aerei Asso V, the X-Ray is a single-engined ultralight aircraft, also available in kit form, with tapered low-wing and conventional cruciform tail unit, retractable tricycle landing gear and side-by-side two-seat cabin. Mainly wooden structure covered by fabric, with composite engine cowl, wing tips and rear fuselage tip. It is powered by a 73.5 kW (98.6 hp) Rotax 912 ULS four-cylinder horizontally-opposed engine, driving a two-blade variable pitch Avtek propeller. Main dimensions of the X-Ray: wing span 8.10 m (26.57 ft); length overall 7 m (23 ft); height 2.15 m (7.15 ft) and wing area 10.80 sm (116.25 sq ft). Weights: empty 282 kg (621.7
