Description
A unique kingpostless and strutless power hang-glider wing, with an area of 16.9 sq.m., tested under real and demanding operating conditions.
Wing area: 16.9 sq.m.
This is a genuine kingpostless and strutless wing for a powered hang glider. Unlike conventional kingpostless designs that use large aerodynamic side struts,
this wing has no struts and uses only thin wire bracing.
The structure is designed to withstand negative G loads.
The wing has undergone extensive flight testing and was operated for two full seasons, with approximately 180 hours of total flight time. It was tested in strong and turbulent conditions, including flights through squalls with winds of up to approximately 15 m/s (54 km/h).
The wing also repeatedly performed three-point landings in confined areas. This is a demanding landing technique in which all three wheels of the trike must touch the surface almost simultaneously, without the normal flare-and-hold phase, in order to stop within a very limited landing area. Such landings
create significantly higher instantaneous loads than a conventional landing. The wing successfully withstood the associated negative structural loads.
High load capacity
The wing was flight-tested at a maximum takeoff weight of 700 kg, including approximately 400 kg of useful load.
This makes the wing particularly interesting for high-powered trikes and trikes with heavy engines, including Rotax 912-class installations and automotive
engine conversions, where the additional weight of the powerplant requires a wing with high load-carrying capacity.
HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS
Very light and precise roll control.
The wing can be controlled with one hand.
A rapid roll reversal from one bank angle to the opposite bank takes approximately three seconds.
NEUTRAL ROLL BEHAVIOR
Once the desired bank angle is established, the wing tends to maintain the selected angle without continuous corrective input.
No Dutch roll and no tendency to yaw.
The wing remains stable and does not yaw or oscillate in heading from medium to the maximum tested speed.
The reinforced leading-edge structure is designed to maintain the specified airfoil shape under aerodynamic loading, reducing deformation of the long
unsupported leading-edge section and preserving aerodynamic characteristics.
The wing uses high-strength laminated Pentex PE10 sailcloth, a material widely used in high-performance sailing applications.

CUSTOM WING SIZES AND MATERIALS
Similar wings can be manufactured in different sizes, from approximately 10.8 sq.m. to 17.6 sq.m.
depending on the customer's requirements. I have experience designing and building wings of different areas, and the structure can be adapted
accordingly, including the structural stiffness and strength required for the selected wing size and intended use.
All wings are manufactured using modern high-strength laminate sailcloth, with the specific material selected according to the required combination
of weight, strength, stiffness, durability and aerodynamic shape stability.
CUSTOM FIT AND TRIKE ADAPTATION
The wing can be adapted to the customer's specific trike and pilot requirements.
The control bar (A-frame) can be customized in geometry and position to provide the correct ergonomic and aerodynamic relationship between the pilot
and the control bar.
