The SM0722A module satisfies a need of gyroplane/autogyro pilots with a Lynx phono system and that is to connect their smartphone (or a tablet, an iPhone with adapter cable or an MP3 device), to listen to their favorite music, answer or make calls comfortably even in flight, without the interlocutor hearing any noise, or listen to the FM radio in comfort even in flight and also in streaming through one of the many Apps available in the various Stores.
The module is connected in series to the headset equipped with a 7-pole circular Binder connector used on the Lynx system and, via a 4-pole male-male TRRS cable (CTIA standard), to the smartphone (cable included in the specific variant). An MP3 player (or similar device) can alternatively be connected to the same input via a stereo (3-pole) to CTIA (4-pole) converter cable, not included but available on request.
The module is not powered by your aircraft's internal power system; it is completely independent and uses no internal power sources so it can be left permanently connected.
